Sex Toys Materials

Choosing the right material that your sex toys are made from is a matter of preference.  As there are many different materials on the market and you will have to take a moment to decide what kind of material suits your tastes.  If you have any kind of allergic reaction after using your new sex toys such as itching, rashes or burning you may be allergic to that material.  We will try to explain all the different kinds of sex toy materials available to you.

Silicone Sex Toys

Silicone is the Cadillac of sex toy materials.  Silicone sex toys can be made to be extremely realistic , soft  and lifelike, warms up quickly, retains heat well and is one of the easiest materials to clean up.  Silicone sex toys can be cleaned up with a mild soap and water or boiled to really sterilize your toys.  Silicone sex toys are also least likely to cause any kind of allergic reactions.

Cyberskin Sex Toys

Cyberskin sex toys are a relatively new material on the market.  Although Cyberskin isn't as durable as silicone it is probably the closest material you will ever get to real-life skin.  Cyberskin can simulate the softness of skin yet retain its hardness like a real penis.  Cyberskin used in such products as pocket pussies ect. produce sensations that seem quite realistic and life-like.  One thing about Cyberskin is that the material is very porous so the sex toys must be cleaned very thoroughly with Cyberskin cleaning solution or antibacterial soap and water.  Also stay away from using a silicone based lubricant with cyberskin sex toys as it causes them to deteriorate.  Some other manufacturers names for Cyberskin are "Ultraskin, Eroskin or Cyber Jel-lee.

Jelly Sex Toys

Jelly sex toys are a top seller due to their reasonable price and yet they are still a very nice sex toy material.  Jelly sex toys are a rubbery material but are still very firm and they come in some fantastic colors.  Jelly sex toys are quite porous so little more care is needed when cleaning.  Always use a water-based lubricant and never clean jelly sex toys with rubbing alcohol as it will break down the material.  On the downside, the smell of jelly sex toys can be somewhat gross until they have had time to air out.

Latex Rubber Sex Toys

Latex rubber sex toys are also a popular, pretty much the same as jelly except without the smell.  Latex sex toys are also inexpensive and soft but firmer than jelly and silicone sex toys.  Latex rubber is a very porous material making it difficult to clean and should never be shared.  Latex rubber sex toys also wear out quicker than silicone and jelly.  Some people may be allergic to this kind of material.

Plastic Sex Toys

Plastic sex toys are a hard, smooth material but gets right to the point, with nothing between you and the intense vibrations.  The most popular plastic vibrators are the "slimline" and "bullet" vibrators.  Plastic vibrators are an inexpensive sex toy and a very easy clean up, using a wet cloth, sex toy cleaner or rubbing alcohol.  Plastic vibrators work best with direct clitoris stimulation.
